It’s been a long time since my last post. And this will be my final post on this site. But rest assured I am not gone. I have a new blog over at http://thechartshow.wordpress.com so please go and join my there.
Thank you to all the people who have discovered and commented on the blog since I stopped doing it, I didn’t mean to stop it just happened.
I will now do some quick updates on some the topics I was discussing:
I still hate the estate agents but they aren’t bothering me as much.
I am still comedying and with some success now (check out the new blog for more details).
And obviously pretty girl news needs to be done:
The pretty girl got engaged. Not to me. During last summer during my extended break I was in a bar and the pretty girl was there. I had seen her a few times and we were on speaking terms so we spoke. Whilst I was there her boyfriend came in and proposed to her, she said yes. I shared some drinks with them.
After that I only saw the pretty girl once more, and didn’t say anything as I was running for a train. She now appears to be gone.

So that’s it, the last fantastical story for this blog. Don’t worry though you can find more whimsy etc over at http://thechartshow.wordpress.com
Cheers
Goodbye (properly this time).

This will be my last daily blog post.

Tomorrow I am moving house, and I shan’t have internet for a few days, the internet cafe and Uni are both closed Sunday, so I shall not be able to make a post then, so now seems a good time to stop.

With this post it makes 85 days in a row, a lot more than I thought I could do, and a lot more than I probably should’ve done.

It is not the end of the blog, I shall continue to update it, just less regularly. Hopefully this will improve the quality as I can take the time to properly form posts and only write when there is something to actually write.

For this reason I urge you all to RSS this blog or subscribe to it by email. That is if you want to continue reading it, if not then you’re obviously free to go and waste your time in whichever way you’d prefer, although as time-wasting goes this blog is fairly adept for such a purpose.

I would like to thank all those who have read, commented or contributed in some ways to the blog this past three months. At times I have hated and despised doing it, and at times it has been quite a lovely thing to do.

All I have to say in closing is this: I started doing this daily to spite a friend who said I could never do a blog every day for any amount of time. So James, if you’re still reading, screw you!

Last night I had just gone to bed, when shortly after midnight came a frantic knocking at the door.

I imagined it was my housemate who had been visiting back home, or a friend of a housemate having a disaster, More strongly I suspected it would be someone who would punch me in the face or stab me as I answered it.

What it was was my ex-housemate who I thought was in Spain.

He had come back for a bit, his flight got delayed and rather than going home in ended up back here.

This was strange and unsettling.

That is all I have to say on the matter.

I almost forgot to write this today. I was going to write this yesterday but went with a shameless plug instead.

Yesterday I spent four hours on a train when it should’ve taken less than two. It was packed, people couldn’t even walk down the aisles for people were stood in them. These were mainly people coming back from Glastonbury, people who hadn’t washed in a week. It was also very very hot. I was unable to move my legs, or even sit up straighter for nearly three hours due to the level of crowding and luggage.

All of this should be enough to make me furious and angry, but actually I had a surprisingly nice time. Part of this was due to a combination of listening to The Bugle and The National. But also because I met some rather lovely people.

I was sat at a table, also on the table were a couple from Cardiff who looked about fourteen, were actually eighteen. And a teacher in her fifties who had been to Glasto and whose favourite act was Dizzee Rascal.

We spoke a lot about universities, and applying to them, and a lot about part-time jobs. But also about Welsh education, the Welsh language, german, etymology, catering, politics and holidays.

I didn’t especially want to talk to them at first, as they were strangers, and it was a rather awkward situation, however I stepped in to help as I knew a fair bit about the line we were travelling on and what the problem was and who would be to blame, due to my travelling on trains quite a lot, and getting delayed quite a lot.

However I am glad I did talk to them as it made it seem quicker, and was certainly an interesting way to spend the afternoon.

I wouldn’t always advocate talking to strangers on trains as sometimes its nice to sit by yourself and think, or watch the world go by whilst listening to music. Sometimes the people on trains are nutters. But sometimes it is worth a go, and with long delays you immediately have a starting point from which to talk from.

So next time you’re delayed on a train, perhaps take a punt and strike up a conversation, who knows you might make a new friend, learn something, or just be slightly less bored for a little bit.

After many weeks delay in getting hold of the recordings and editing them they are finally back up online.

The one that went up today had an interview with Jim Bob the solo artist, author and former frontman of Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine. It is actually a rather good interview, and he is a very nice and charming man. You can listen to it by clicking this link.

I shall report more when i have it,

I shall also blog more when I have it, something worth saying perhaps, although there’s not been any of that so far so why change a winning formula? Oh its not winning you say? Well then, I’m screwed.

However I shall keep you updated with reactions to the hair and my changing opinions of it.

I somehow don’t think I will make it all the way to haircut 100, at least with anyone still reading that is.

I’ve mentioned before how I can childish, and sometimes that’s not acceptable, but sometimes it is.

Today on the train I was sat behind a toddler. Not a screamy toddler, but a well-behaved pleasant toddler. The mother was sat quietly looking out the window with her child and it was all rather nice.

Then the child started peering over the top of the chair. In this situation there is only ever one way you can react, you make a stupid face.

Luckily I already have a rather stupid face so it’s quite easy for me to adapt.

You play with the child, you play peekaboo and respond to it when they look over. If they push something over the top you push it back.

You don’t necessarily instigate it or continue it when the child is fed up. But you play along as the child does, they usually go away after five minutes, may then return five after that but still…

What you don’t do is judge and tut. This child wasn’t being noisy, she giggled a couple of times, as children do, they tend to be happy creatures. But she was well-behaved and stayed in her seat. Yet a man on the train seemed offended be the presence of such joy and even said to the mother that she should control her child.

I’m not going too far here when I say this man was an utter cock.

So in summary I think its fine and even fun to join in with childish games (when invited) on trains, if only to annoy the soulless people who get annoyed by a little girls laughter,

Being at home, being around my parents all day, I seem to have regressed to a person I sued to be. The person I was before I left home, before I gained independence.

This is not necessarily a bad occurrence, although the person I used to be is not the kind of person who would write a blog. Thus I have struggled to think of anything to write about.

I could write more about this interesting phenomenon of regression, unfortunately it is the phenomenon itself which is stopping me doing that.

Sorry.
